about Arctic Spa

While I'm still in the process of doing studies to collect ideas for my very first design, I decided to browse through the catalog and I randomly clicked on the thumbnail for Arctic Spa.

Firstly, I think the whole ice-cube tray idea couldn't be more original. By not being overly cluttered, the design was refreshing to look at and rather humorous thanks to little polar-region characters in it.

I visited Matthijs' website (http://www.mtths.nl/) and found the other designs highly intriguing. I personally fancy designs that incorporate two simple ideas together or expounds on ordinary objects, creating truly witty and unexpected fusions.

I look forward to more such designs on threadless; I'm sure there will be no lack of such mind-boggling designs! Definitely enjoying being a member of this ingenious community.

Here's to Arctic Spa- the very first design I'm blogging about and of course to the artist, Matthijs. Awesome stuff! (:

so cool, that people like the arctic spa that much...
and the discussions about the different hemispheres, polar bears en penguins living together.. never could have foreseen to receive those reactions.... haha

hope that the camel town design does well... only a few days left for voting :-)

Actually, when people look at my tee and go like "aww now that's cute" I automatically tell them that yes, penguins and polar bears usually don't live together, so this just shows HOW exclusive the spa is, and worth travelling all over the world just to relax there :)
