When the forum gets dried up and nothing exciting is going I'll go over and score subs- I used to score subs obsessivly- like over the forum, but now this is what I do. So basically the scoring of subs is kind of like a fall-back when I'm sick or bored of the forum, or if I'm anxious to see what people will reply to my blog, I'll swing over there.
i'm with tesko, and thatsnotnormal.
i used to vote all the time, but there are too many now. i had a week in florida where i was without internet, and i've never caught up. i click on good looking thumbnails, and back out and scan thumbs again. i really don't like the random selection voting process, i understand the need for it though. every now and then i get caught up in it....
..but yeah, i used to have alot more design time at work, not so much right now..just enough time to blog.
80%-20%
I thought the idea that is Threadless is to have everyday people design and rate and buy t-shirts and the forum be a place to discuss technique, etc, etc. Blogging about tampons in Chinese takeout (yes I saw that one) and percentages seems to be the residual effect of people's general desire to socialize about their lives.
There's nothing wrong with it. I don't recall saying that there was the slightest thing wrong with it. I said that it's puzzling that it occurs on what boils down to a retail site. It just demonstrates the basic human need for socialization, which is interesting to me. Not a negative statement whatsoever.
I think it's partly because the Threadless blog is so damn good, the people are cool, there's always competitions that anyone can join in on, and the layout is top notch and uncluttered.
Agree. I'm 100% for the layout of the blogs. Because everything is right there, without a bunch of subcategories to get lost in.
And I'll go on spurts where I score, but not too often. I prefer trusting the rest of the public and then buying what I like from that.
I also click thumbnails if someone posts them in here
