Exactly?

I think you need to look that up in a dictionary before you start throwing words out like that

yeah.. they sort of have the same theme, but I wouldn't say that the designs are all that similar, really.

I've got a paul frank shirt but I did'nt realise untill I got it home. It's a great big John Deere tractor in green on yellow. It's one of my favs but I was a bit dissapointed when I saw the label.

It's sad that you're so elitist that you don't want to wear a shirt because of who made it.
tesko
   tesko on Aug 08 '05 at 1:23pm
I know but if you saw the type of people who wear paul frank in Eng-er-land you'd totaly understand.
little_hobbit_feet
little_hobbit_feet on Aug 08 '05 at 1:26pm
I wouldn't.
I won't deny myself anything simply because a group of people I don't identify with uses it.
tesko

I know, I'm not perfect but meh. Paul Frank wearers are typicly beer drinking football thugs which is the antithesis of tesko.

I still wear it all the time tho.

there's 3 types of clothes people:

1) those who avoid name brands emblazoned on thier clothes, and cut off tags or only buy them second hand or at great discount, make thier own clothes, or try to be as generic as possible. (me as a teen)

2) people who don't care anymore, so long as the name isn't the focus of the clothes, and the fit is right (me now)

3) those who only buy name brand, are proud to be walking advertisements, and actively seek out big name clothes for no other reason then status. (me, hopefully never)

who are you?

and ps- maybe i'm just jealous that paul frank built an empire off a poorly simplified ugly monkey head and a retarded looking skull and crossbones.

paint me crazy.

#2

As long as it's comfy, that's all that matters.
It's a plus if it happens to look good on me, too!

travis, it's not jealousy to diss clothes which look like crap.

like omg! this shirt is an exact replica of that paul frank shirt...not really

i'm also a number 2 but i might be turning into a number 4 with all these shirts i'm buying
travis76
   travis76 on Aug 08 '05 at 2:08pm
yeah, i'm more of a 1 and a half to 2, i guess. i still alter my clothes....
i will never be a three. threes are sad.
i consider buying threadless to be a #2 trait anyway.

I guess I'd be a two. I want to make my own clothes, but it'll probably never happen. I really, really hate big logos on clothes, though. I already paid for the shirt - I'm not going to be free advertising.

I don't think there's a category for that yet.

Gahhhh! I hate number threes. Rather, I hate their clothing. I HATE the whole Louis Vuitton mindset. Why would you buy something that you really could care less about, just to advertise money. Better yet, why do people pay money to a company to advertise for them? If Nike wants me to wear a shirt with thier logo on it, they best pay me each time I go out in public wearing it. (Sorry, I know, I'm preaching to the choir.)
themidtownkoala

(PS - little hobbit feet, I could not agree more with both things you've stated here.)

a coworker of my wife got a louis vuitton purse- not a knock off- actually purchased it in new york from one of the big stores...
my wife thought that -maybe- it was actually very well made or something, but it's not even leather, and it's put together like any other walmart purse.
suckers.
themidtownkoala
themidtownkoala on Aug 08 '05 at 3:43pm
I've never liked Louis Vuitton because thier main logo design and color look like they belong in a stuffy old gentlemen's lodge rather than on the arm of trendsetters.

Yeah I agree with little hobbit feet, im to lazy to consult with my fashion morals these days I just pick whatever I like whether its threadless, louis vuitton, puma, some shirt I found in a trash can, all that matters is my own preference not cause it has a label or not.

as the designer of the Bring It Back shirt, I want to clarify that I've never seen the Paul Frank design. I also don't know who Paul Frank is, nor had I seen ANY tee shirt with a mustache on it for that matter.

The only other one i've seen in public since the Threadless one came out is that one that says 'guns dont kill people, people with mustaches kill people' which is a far cry from this design.

It's unfortunate that it was printed on Green cause it makes it hard to read, my original light tan background was a bit more forgiving. oh well.

hello,

i am Paul Frank's moustache. i just want to say that the moustache is for everybody to enjoy. you can call me a moustache evangelist but that's how i feel. i'm really happy that there are other rad dudes who feel the same as i do about moustaches. if you really know us here at PF you'd know that my moustache evangelist passion comes from the heart & you would know that all we want to do here at Paul Frank Industries is make rad stuff & hire rad people to work with 'cause it's WAY better that working somewhere else. thank you threadless for supporting artists with swell ideas so they don't have to work in an Office Space.
