The Simpsons have been joking about that for years though. I get the impression Banksy might be kind of dumb.

He's been mainstream for a while now, his arts been bought by people like brad pitt and his book is constantly on sale in urban outfitters.

He pretends to take the moral high ground and acts like he's totally against consumerism but the guy thrives on it.

I emailed him once back in like 2006 when urban outfitters had ripped off threadless and johnny cupcakes, telling him that they rip off small designers and dont give a crap because their huge and have a legal team to match.

He emailed back saying he'd look into it but since his books still on sale with him I'm guessing he doesnt really care.

i bet he is actually against consumerism, but just realizes he will never be able to change how an intire country thinks, so if you cant beat em join em right?
