So I have finally aquired a Wacom tablet. Bamboo Fun. I have not, however, figured out quite how to make this product be the most effective it can be. For example...smoothing edges. I intended for my first critique to be a bit...rough..because I thought that the design itself looked quite decent without all of the perfect edges. But as far as effects...
Could anyone who reads this advise me of a good program to use? I have Corel Painter Essentials, for now, because it came with the tablet. But it doesn't do all of the effects that I would like it to do, and I'm really most comfortable with Adobe Photoshop, but I know that isn't really for anything but...photos.
I, personally, am NOT sick of words- anything but. But watching "My Fair Lady" makes you sing all sorts of things in the aftermath.
Some of the slogans I've come up with -and not posted here- are...well difficult. Isn't it frustrating sometimes to have to tone down what you say and how you say it for fear of offense to someone? A friend of mine said, a long time ago, "I Snack on Jesus", jokingly, when her mom asked her about going to church. Her mom, however, found it highly offensive. I thought it rather funny. Wish we could have it on a t-shirt, because if you put it in the right context (a nice picture, or something like), it's really NOT offensive at all. I mean, you put a picture of Hannibal Lecter and it's anything but funny... Anyway. It strikes me as frustrating sometimes, you know, to have to think so carefully about each and every thing. Because someone is bound to be offended by it. Really, being offended strikes me as more...well, it is someone's opinion, usually, not being agreed to. I might, for example, get offended when someone says that Star Trek sucks- but that's because I really, really like it, and a blatant disregard for my favorite show might seem offensive. And again, I might worship the ever loving hoo-ha out of...say, Stephen King, and if somone else uses his name in vain...well, it's them, not me, and who cares? (I don't worship Stephen King. I don't really even like him. Honestly, my creative writing teacher thought he was the gift of writing, and really...no. No, I'm sorry, no. He's not /my/ opinion of a great, amazing writer. That's my opinion, and someone else thinking otherwise is fine). |
