Wow, that's a fun stroll down memory lane via shirt quote. It sure beats the hell's bell's outta Will Ferrel quotes on tees. Also, most of the stuff on that site pretty much blows but i gotta give it up for this one:

I think the entire script is copyrighted. I don't think you can use a direct quote from the movie, that's why all the stuff in stores like Hot Topic and stuff are licensed shirts, unlike most of the tees on the internet selling the quotes on tees illegally.

Thanks FA, it did get accepted onto the site so we'll see. But i might have to take a new approach on this one. I was thinking of illustrating a Ferris wheel with the name Bueller. An amusement park background and maybe some other details from the movie in it...

there was a whole range of Save Ferris shirts in the 90s with different quotes on the back. i don't know if this was one of them but i always wanted the shirt with the line about "isms".

oh yea, FA i despise Will Ferrel, he tries too hard to be funny. The guys at bangbang are really nice though, this design went up within a couple of hours and they've been very helpful with any questions and comments i've had so far.

But this one is shorter and i think it's more well known from the movie.

I never knew what she said there but those were always my top two thoughts on the subject. I could probably figure it out now by tracking down an online script of the thing.

The red looks more pinkish right now but that will be fixed. Also i was thinking of adding some kind of lined silhouette of a roller coaster or some other kind of ride in the background. So this is still a work in progress...

ha....really cute way around the copyright infringement of a movie like Ferris Bueller's day off with your design. I like it in the center of the chest, and unless it would look too busy, perhaps a few little nods towards the flick with an Abe Froman sausage hut outside the park or the Ferrari riding by with people wildly waving their hands inside it, or even the Sears tower in the back?

btw, busted tees recently released a Ferris shirt

That site pisses me off sometimes. It's either they grab something random from 80's nostalgia or just make a tee out of the popular youtube clip of the week. Who is going to buy the O'reilly "We're doing it live!" shirt and wear it after the next month, when the few people who understand the joke have had it fade from their memories? It's the equivalent of the Scary Movie etc clan where they make fun of commercials and stuff you only will remember for the next couple of media cycles before people in five years have NO IDEA what the parodies are from. Make it classic, people! lol.

lol, i agree about grabbing random nostalgia... I mean come on, Vandelay Industries! Jason Alexander wouldn't approve of that. It's not that they're choosing the wrong shows/movies to mooch off of they're just designing the shirts in such a way that i would never buy one. Make it classic, people!

The "day off" sign looks a little weird. Maybe a slogan like "Have fun here on your day off!" or even something less obvious like "Closed - today only" so it's like the Bueller ferris wheel is getting its day off.

Thanks squatterjohn, it's supposed to be the name of the amusement park. It was kind of a last minute thing but i actually liked it as an amusement park title. I'm always open for some suggestions though, Cameron's Castle? Sloan's? I dunno...

I actually like Day Off Amusement Park, it sounds like an acceptable name for a park...maybe make it upper case? Squatter might be onto something tho...
