Hi Threadless peeps!
I'm reaching out to you all with a plea for help. In October (in 235 days, to be exact), I will be joining my sister and a couple friends (and about 3000 other people) to do the 60-mile Breast Cancer 3-Day walk which raises money for The Komen Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust. In order to do this, my teammates and I need to raise $2,300 EACH. Every penny goes to breast cancer research with the hope of eradicating breast cancer in the future. Obviously, this is a BIG challenge--possibly even bigger than walking 60 miles or sleeping in a tiny tent for two nights (yeech!). Here's how you can help: 1. Our team is called The Treasure Chests. We'd like to create a fun, funny t-shirt that we would wear on our training walks and at the event. To raise money, we'd either sell the shirt or sell sponsorship space (on the back of the tee) to local businesses. My team has compiled ideas for a concept but we all lack artistic talent in a major way! Would anyone be willing to work with us to create a design? I may also have the design made into cards that we can use to thank sponsors and donors. I can't afford to pay a designer (especially if I end up donating whatever I can't raise to meet the $2300 goal), but we can work something out, I'm sure. 2. You can donate money and sponsor me on the walk! http://www.the3day.org/goto/tinat And, if there are any Philly-area peeps out there, the walk is October 16-18. Feel free to sign up to be a walker or volunteer or simply show up to cheer people on. (Cheering locations are publicised closer to the dates of the event.) As people who have boobs, like boobs, want boobs or have friends with boobs, I hope you'll be interested in helping out! Oh... there's a misplaced modifier there. But you know what I mean, right? Thanks, folks!
Every now and then I wonder what I can do to either spice up my love life or spruce up my wardrobe.
Despite watching hours and hours of RNC and DNC coverage on MSNBC throughout the past two weeks, I completely missed this oh-so-helpful informercial. Fortunately, a friend recommended the product: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VR4O68kUj5c Yaybia! Don't worry: I'm on the Pill so there will be NO sparkle babies. Are there any products YOU would recommend? |
