Why Threadless makes girly shirts a different color than the guy ones I'll never know. I can understand and accept the lame excuse about how they have to up-price girly shirts because of 'extra fabric' and 'elastic stretch' for our 'special needs', but so far I have never seen a color provided especially for women that has seemed attractive to me. As a painter, I hate pinks and pastels. I almost wish that Threadless would make single-color unisex shirts, and lots of them based on the sales of that particular product. Because I didn't catch on that 'girly' 'Till Death Do Us Part' was a yucky and completely-inappropriate-to-the-subject-matter yellow until the white, nice-looking ones were entirely gone, I missed out on it. Which is a heartrending bummer, because the design is awesome.

Threadless, please get a clue, and reprint the white before you sit around waiting for someone to take the yellow off your hands. The sales will thank you.

it's cream not yellow, and most girls tend to dislike pure white t-shirts because they are see-through so cream was probably chosen because of that fact.

*sigh*

They don't up-price the girly shirts because of 'extra fabric' and 'elastic stretch' for your 'special needs', the old Girly shirts were printed on American Apparel t-shirts which just cost a little more than the men's because they're printed on Fruit of the Loom 50-50 polyester, randomly-sized, trumpet-sleeved crap.

They are different colours because they come from different manufacturers. The complanies simply do not make a comparable "off-white" shirt to one another.

Threadless are making single-color unisex shirts, now that they're printing on their own brand of t-shirts. The Girly and Guys' t-shirts are now the same colour and the same price. It has been this way for months now. The only reason this is different is because it is a very old shirt.

If this is reprinted, it will be on the new Threadless tees and be the same colour for both. As to whether you like that particular colour, not much can be done.

squatterjohn - Thanks for the feedback, I've just been staring longingly at the white version for months and needed to vent a little frustration. I really appreciate the information; understanding more about the way Threadless works will definitely help. I've been on and off with Threadless the past two years, so I'm very much out of date. I hope I didn't frustrate you too much. :)

gingette - I know it's cream, I was just exaggerating a little, and from the pictures of the cream all I can think of are mashed bananas. As for pure white shirts showing off bras, yeah, that can be a problem, but there are also skin-colored bras to tone down the difference. And the key factor is in the thickness of the weave.

lol, I don't think the weave is very thick, you can see my nipples through a white Threadless t-shirt. On a girl it could be scandalous.

But there's hope. The design "Scr-emo" started out on Guys' Natural and Girly Creme, but was put onto White when it was reprinted on Threadless recently. And the new Threadless creme tee is much closer to white anyway.

Hope! Yes indeed hope is a good thing. So is nipple-coverage in public. I'll make a note to keep bindings handy if it does get reprinted so I won't quite be so scandalous to upright and high-moralled society. ^___^

Hey, wasn't there a Threadless submission recently which featured nipples on X marks the spot?
