about Liberty
Today as usual I got e-mail from Threadless representing the "Another fresh batch of incredibly amazing tees for sale!" For the week of April 7, 2008. Liberty by Kneil Melicano was the tee I liked most in the last weeks and I decided to buy it, and when I entered Threadless, I saw that M size is sold out, ironically S size too.

So, I'm getting an e-mail from Threadless and just after some hours the tee is gone. What's the amount of the tees in here?

Likewise! Jeebus just yesterday on the page for the shirt there was no indication they were almost sold out. I log on now, medium and small both GONE.

And I really wanted one. :(

a lot of girls have turned to buying the smaller guys sizes too.

has anyone found out how many of each is printed? and why they don't print more Guys M since they are usually the first to sell out? there was a blog about this before but I dont' know if they ever got an answer

Ah.

It has to differ between the shirts. Decapitated Doomsday seemed to only have a few more than 20 in all sizes given how fast it got into "x Left!" territory (taking into consideration how expensive it was too). Meanwhile, other shirts take forever to run down in stock.

So how are the girly sizes smaller in general or do they have a different cut as well? I'm considering getting one...

I think they are a different cut... they're more fitted rather than baggy, and have smaller sleeves and a different neckline.

But I should probably leave answering this question to someone who actually buys both guys and girly sizes for themselves :-\ I can compare the difference between my shirts and my boyfriend's shirts, but yeah....

I think either krakaboom or ir0cko sometimes buys girly L/XL, though... I'll go have a look

Girly shirts have a different cut, as phyntosia said. The neckline is wider (has a more girly look), the sleeves are shorter, and the curve in at the waist.

With AA shirts, because the neckline was the same and they were boxier, I think it was okay for guys to buy them - but I wouldn't recommend that with the new girly tees.

The newsletter didn't go out till like 6pm yesterday(it normally goes out by noon) so the big burst of purchases most likely happened well after you saw it up on the site. Also of note, we had a major shortage of maroon in guys small and medium. Judging by the sales this puppy will see a reprint in the future.

yeah, Well I fit a guys small and once I got the girly med of rayguns, and that was like shrink wrapped on me. So I got the girly large for descent once and it fits right but the sleeves are really short. SO this time I thought I would try a x large.

i wear guys medium pretty well. it's definetly not tight, extends just past my waistline and maybe an inch past the crook in my arm where my bicep meets my upper arm.

no girl size fits whatsover. I bought trojan hearse in girls biggest size (XL or 2XL) and i had to cut off the sleeves. the neckline is very feminine, sleeves and shirt in general dont come down far enough.

so guys, stay away from girl sizes. you best bet is to get a large and gain some weight

I'm a bit irritated, I thought there was this new rule, that a new shirt _couldn't_ go out of stock during the first week, because of this special order thing ... why doesn't this apply to Liberty?

where did you hear that? they print a finite number i believe and if they sell out they sell out.

well, I have 1000 "Peaceful Future" shirts in my cart right now, beneath the others, in a section called "SPECIAL ORDER! (ships in 4-6 weeks)"

And I remember one of the staff members talking in the blogs somewhere, too, I just don't remember where :/ they said that this shall help everybody getting one in the first week (so that a design can't sell out in the first couple of hours or days, in case someone doesn't get to the computer or something).

true story.

New FAQ and a blog where a staff member mentions the special orders.
