Okay there are a few things about Threadles that I'm finding hard to adjust to, but one thing that I still dont get is the white T shirt thing.
Why do people hate t so much?
I have some pretty cool white T shirts and I've never heard anyone say anything like this before.

Anyway, let me know why you hate it and after you've done that come on over and tell me what you think of my Tee -http://www.threadless.com/critique/18464/YouReallRobots

(It's not white)

I'm wearing a white tee now. It has baby puke on the shoulder.

White tee's are always thinner than coloured one (no matter where the come from). It makes them seem poorer quality, and you can see through them. I couls see where this may be a good thing, but in most cases it is not good. Having said that, I'd rather have white than green. Green shirts are the devils work.

Make white tees are thick and luxurious as the rest of them, and I may love them too.

Maybe because most people have a lot of white tees already?
Magpie_king
Magpie_king on Apr 11 '08 at 6:37am
I have white t shirts that are as thick as my other ones.

Not from Threadless. I often buy a tee I like in different colours. The white is always thinner. It's just the way of the world (or the way of dying techniques).

as a girl, white tees tend to be pretty seethrough-ish which is why i wouldn't personally buy any though i don't have any experience with white threadless tees and i don't like bras show through my clothes. so i can see why a lot of girls might be against white.

my only prob with whites is that they're too easy to ruin...also, they oppress me.
ginetteginette
   ginetteginette on Apr 11 '08 at 1:12pm
yeah there's that too. i would surely get some form of drawing tool smudged all over my t-shirt or a charcoal/paint/ink combo

whwnever i paint(ed) i do it sans shirt, but then again it might not be a good option for a girl, or someone in cold weather

i never had a problem with white tees, until i ordered one and the size was all wonky. But those were the fotl days... so maybe ill give it another chance

SO I guess we can conclude that no only is the white T shirt opinion quite equally divided, but also there are also some quite strong views on the matter.

I never thought people would think that much about white tees

I'm glad we did this.

We all learned something.

Is this the most boring blog I've ever done?

yes its boring - lol

but

i love white tees!! i just got my first white threadless tee.

the size is perfect. yes it's a bit seethrough-ish but with a undershirt it doesn't bother me at all.

grey tees are awesome too.

Magpie_king on Apr 12 '08 at 10:32am
Yeah lets not forget the colour (or shade) GREY.

Good work.

Thanks "The golden spatula" for that.

Does anyone else have something they'd like to add?

Maybe you or a familly member has been affected by the see-through effect of the white t shirt.

Maybe you know somebody that considers themselves a shirt colour rasist.

Either way, We'd like to hear from you here at the studio.

Please leave your comments here and we'll try to respond to them throughout the day.

Next up I'll be talking to a brave young man with an abnormally large head.

Sorry, I dont know what happened there

I don't like white T shirts because:

-They're boring

-I don't suit white

-It just feels that someone has designed a great T, then just lumped it onto a blank canvas, when they should have just chosen a good colour to match the design.

Is all.

I don't mind white tees, but the ones I bought on Thread some years ago were very thin. And normally when a tee is colored or darker, it doesn't look so transparent. So that is my only issue, I would not underscore a design because it was on a white tee. Any color is fine, as long as the design suits it.
