Some progress for a new collab that I've been working on with the multi-talented rossmat8.

It's still a bit away from being done - need to finish the swing-set, add some trees, smooth out lines, etc. Any and all feedback/criticism/thoughts/ideas are more than welcome.

Court Is Now In Recess

I think it would be awesome if the judge was holding his robe and jumping and people in the background were playing monkey in the middle with his gavel.

worried about it gettin too busy. But i def think the judge could look a lot more 'jumpy' and we could add some people running around in the background kicking a soccer ball or something

Ahahahaahhaha. This is really awesome. Not sure if you're planning to, but adding some detail to the ground in a darker/lighter shade of the background would add a lot of dimension.

yeah maybe just him jumping would be enough

some grass or pavement leading back to the courthouse would really hold this together.

Great idea.

The detail is def coming. Just trying to make sure all the elements are in place. I've been struggling with figuring out how many to include before it gets too busy.

I like the layout of the sketch best actually, moreso than the vector-sketch.

Would a sandbox make it too busy?

four square!

   davidfromdallas on Sep 24 '09 at 2:15pm
this might just have to get redrawn

I like the dynamic of four-square more than jumprope.

In face, I think the pencil sketch, if rendered well, could really be pretty much all you need (best not to overcomplicate it).

Also, I like the courthouse in your sketch alot more. (it is larger with better perspective and cooler architecture)

Maybe some steps up to the court house and a hop scotch diagram below the briefcase guy. Also maybe a bailiff, a familiar figure in the court room, to add a bit of people variety. Anyway, cool idea, looking forward to the development.

not sure why, but the see-saw doesn't quite work for me, looks good but something just seems out of place.. maybe a slippery slide or as mentioned above a sand pit :)

I know the details are still coming, but I just thought I'd say that the people need to look more animated. Right now they're kinda awkward (especially the three people with the jump rope). Can't wait to see this progress!

I like the idea...maybe add a rubber red kickball, whiffle ball & bat or hula hoop. Good Luck!

Just had an idea feel free to say no. Thought it would be cool to have an homage to the Have Fun design and have 3 briefcases on the ground and the people would be playing with the objects in the briefcases seen in the shirt. That may be retarded I need sleep.
