I have an idea for a shirt I want to do, but it would probably involve some logos.
A bunch of cartoon characters would be wearing like, band logos, such as the Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" prism, or the Red Hot Chili Peppers asterisk, maybe some skate company logos, and other things we teenagers tend to wear nowadays.

I did a shirt with Darth Vader on it and it got rejected, would Threadless reject this, too? It would be a belt print so the logos would be shown pretty small, and repeated.

yea, they wont take it man, they have to be uber anal about that kinda stuff. same with celebrity likenesses. it kinda sucks, but thats the way the legal system crumbles.

It sounds to me like it would probably be rejected, but you can ask them! Or just sub it anyway and find out.

There's no way I'm drawing it if there's a chance it'll get rejected. It would take forever.
I'll email them a help topic, unless other people have something to say.

And I wouldn't copy the logo exactly, probably just do a small thin outline. The design would just be black on white.
The logos wouldn't stand out, just be subtleties on the characters' t-shirts and all. Maybe some pins on backpacks/bags. I want to go into detail.

just draw generic looking tshirt symbols- like a lightning flash, a star, a smilie face, a skull a heart etc.

I could do that, but I dunno... I want this to be like, everyone can relate to at least one of the cartoons on it, and it'd seem way more genuine with logos we see on a daily basis in pop culture. Generic logos would be boring, those have been around forever.
