One minute I waas upright, next the scooter was sideways. We parted ways, it went forward into a car, I went sideways and stood up.

I'm bruised, and know I will hurt tomorrow. No damage was done to the car, but scooter wouldn't even start. (it landed on it's side kind of hard, and when loading it into a truck another peice got hit, which wasn't good).

Good news - the lady in front of me was sweet, a hair stylist from a family of hair stylists, and recently promoted. I needed a hair stylist, I have her card and will call for an appointment later. She also stayed with me until the truck came, so I will bake her something.

At least you got good things out of it. Make sure to post the picks when you get your new hairstyle done.

I'm a little sore today, and hate my roommate even more. She left a note on my door to take out the trash. Sweet thing to do after a crash (and I do take it out every night, but didn't last night. She takes hers out once a week, it's a bone of contention there. But then, she says her trash doesn't smell only mine).

Today is a snow day, and I live in NM, so it's not like I have to worry about going anywhere.

taking out the trash on a snow day is not an easy task.

it is, especially when your knee is swollen. I've never met a person before who honestly beleives their shit doesn't stink, until now.

Did you at least learn that racism is bad?

I think that's the point of a crash.

I just looked at my shoes I was wearing last night, one side is black from the streets. Thankfully I was wearing my new sneaks and use safety gear. There's grease on the side of my helmet too. I might have bit it harder than it seemed last night.

aww that sucks! So you were on the scooter? I laid mine over once (going a very slow speed) and my leg & shoulder was bruised scraped up for weeks. Hurt like a mf though... luckily the scooter suffered only a couple of teeny cosmetic scratches lol...

If you're interested in getting another one though mine's actually for sale now that I have a car ;) hehe but you'd have to come to socal

Damn that sucks. Lucky you weren't broken.
It's nice to hear that there are some good people out there though. That lady deserves a baked good of some sort. :)

My scooter guy says he can fix anything. It got pretty banged up, more so from trying to get it into the truck (two MFAs and a hairstylist are not exactly the epitome of strength and grace). But the way the mirrors are, it smashed the one up. I'm actually debating waiting until I move to get a new one, or a car. Their are some pretty drunk and rowdy people at my complex that have the audacity to take the cover off to sit on it and drink at night, and just last week they 'apparently' had a fight around it and toppled my bike over, breaking the opposite side it landed on last night. My lease is up in July and I hope to move to a better area.

omg... ew.. I'd set an alarm on it or put a motion sensor under the cover tor something to keep ppl from touching it :P

I'm happy with my choice to go car. The weather here in socal's been a little on the chilly side so I don't think many ppl are looking for them right now and it's just sitting there.

Awww, I'm glad you're doing okay.

As for your roommate, you should take a dump in her bed.

I'm also happy the person with the truck prefers payment in curry paste (my friends send it to me, it's not really available in this town). They just called, are on the way to drop it off at the shop. And yes, I would love if my roommate suddenly understood, IDK, anything.

She's quite teh poo-head all right, I confronted her about the note (not a fan of passive aggresive) and she said if I felt that about something, tell her. So I did - she never once has cleaned those drip pans on her side of the stove and theyr'e disgusting. She got all mad and ignory and made a point of cooking on them and not cleaning.

four more months

and scooter at the shop :( Haven't called to check on damages, but looked at it this morning and didn't seem horrible. . .
