Just because I´ve seen it here, I wanted to know what you think in general. StreetArt to Shirt?

I don`t think there should be to much rules in art and design but still I think street art is ment for the streets, as the name says and ist is only working in the streets.

+ If you use a motive, seen on street not done on your own... personally I don`t like to see that, especially in a design competition/voting.

What do you think?

I don't think Street Art would be sophisticated enough for a shirt, especially here. Stuff can look impressive when its spraypainted on a wall, but would look really underwhelming when sized down to a shirt. I've seen stuff by Banksy, who's practically the messiah of street art, on t-shirts and I think it looks dumb.

So, yeah, I agree with you.

Momo is an accomplished street artist and did this select

most people hated it

Anyway there is more to stencil street art than Banksy, check out c215, currently killing it around London.

so to have a 'proper' street art shirt each one would need to be stenciled individually by the artist?

To tesco: No, it is not ment that way. A print can be an image of streetart, of course... but it should work out on a shirt and not transport a message, that only really works out on street.

So what I ment with my comment is, the shirt you mentioned is not a street art piece just copied.. it works fine by itself.
