Ripoffs of threadless designs

about Flowers in the Attic

I didn't realize how ubiquitous rip-offs were!

I was in Polly Magoo's in Edmonton today and noticed an oddly familiar shirt (flowers in the attic) . . . and then another (evolution) . . . and then another (doin my best). The company on the tag was "graphic [something-or-another]" (I swore to myself I had to remember the name so I could contact the company - alas, I'll have to go back and see).

Anyone else come across in-store Threadless rip-offs?

I went to London last year, and i saw a lot of threadless designs in street markets...
Seen once in Paris too !

i saw plenty of threadless ripoffs at a market in sydney, Australia. I guess it is a compliment , but still not nice thing to do

Because, TB, all these Threadless designs are from different times by vastly different artists, while the Graphics Playground ones are all at the same time by a limited artist pool (ie the GP designers).

I may be completely wrong, but I swear this whole design is a ripoff of something by Banksy or Antony Micallef. I've seen it before.. Ive seen people with tattoo's of it before.

It would explain why people were seeing prints of this design in street markets in London and stuff..

FITA has had to continually fend off people saying that it was originally done by banksy, when it has never been done by banksy.

click on the original design, the whole story is there. someone creates something original but everyone keeps accusing him of ripping him off, must be fun.

When I was in Shaghai, there was a boutique (owned by Australians) who were selling Threadless shirts for the equivalent of $110. I called her on this and she just laughed.

I'm a bit of a clumsy jill-of-all-trades.

I'm a nursing student, a (very) amateur poet, amateur painter, amateur photographer, an amateur banjo player, and a proud Canadian -- I only say "eh" periodically, though. I love it here but need to leave at least once in the next few years. Can't believe I haven't yet.

I <3 Threadless and Flickr though I need a better camera for the latter. Homestar Runner rocks my world, but not as much as Sam Beam does.
