I only have 6 classes left of college...

Weiiiird.

(also, going to be fun trying to get to them with a gimpy foot)

I graduate in just under two weeks!
I'm watching Labyrinth for the first time in a long time.

It's making me uncomfortable.

In dance class.

It just went "FWOOOMMSSSHHH" (that's the sound of my ankle bearing all of my body's weight and twisting in about 90 degrees.

It was a lot bigger right away. Like the size of a tennis ball. But luckily the swelling went down a bit cause we had ice at the studio.

But yeah, went to the ER and got it x-rayed and it isn't broken or anything thankfully.

4-6 weeks is what the doctor told me I may be out of commission for... Gotta stay positive, I'm aiming to be able to walk without crutches in 2 weeks for graduation.

Ugh. This sucks.
I didn't hula hoop.

And instead I played the piano?

I still do that time to time. Nice to have different outlets you know?
So today was ridiculously cool!

I ended up going rock climbing?!? Ha.

Haven't rock climbed in like.....10 years maybe...and the first and only time was in gym class at elementary school.

anyway, this was so cool. I almost made it to the top, but this was so difficult, not a lot of grips, just lots of ledges!

Who knew this was in Columbus?

Update: scroll down for photos of my weird ass outfit!

I'm going to a Skrillex concert tonight.

HAHAHAHA.

for real.

only because
1) it's free
2) it's outside
3) gives me a chance to show off my LED hoop.

i am embarrassed to say im going to see skrillex. :P
With this puppy.

My friend just got him yesterday! Little Ernie..dawwwww. He's a sweetie.
The last few weeks have been really weird for me.

Lots of good and not so good things have happened. (Mostly good!)

Anyway.

I hooped my heart out tonight. I wasn't "on" the whole time.

But I went ahead and left everything unedited. I added the music over top because these are the songs I was actually hooping too. Which is part of the reason I didn't want to mess with cutting and stuff.

These are such long videos, so I totally get it if you watch like a minute or two. or nothing.

But I thought I'd at least share how good it feels to have hooped again. And things are just feeling better. 3 weeks of class left.

yeah, that's about it. you can watch my videos if you like, if not that's cool too! :D
So, it'd be really cool if you guys could watch this video of one of the contestants of the hoop idol contest.

I was cut in the first round, prematurely if you ask me, because of lack of votes. I would've asked you all but I thought you'd have to join the site, but you actually don't have to in order to vote!

Anyyywway...this week's theme was "slow jam" which meant for more flow-y and emotional hooping, its the top 10 and so far I only think one girl has actually shown any emotion in the competition.

So I'm asking you to help her get through the next round because 1) I think she deserves it 2) It'd be a shame to see a hooper with a natural talent and passion be sent home (like I was :P ) and 3) It'd be really nice of you.

Here's the link to the video if you'd like to look.

And if not, please still go and vote for 9. Laura Orcutt all the way at the bottom of the page. You don't have to be a member. It's easy and it'd be really nice of you.

Thanks.
Do people ever insult you without really meaning to? Like they don't even realize what they said is actually an insult?

Example, yesterday my friend and I were somehow talking about college and majors and I said that if I could do it all over again I'd probably do Engineering instead.. and she immediately says "Yeah, but engineering is really hard.." I was just like um okay. "Well I'm rather intelligent actually thanks?". You know things like that just irk me a tad.

And another example was just yesterday my friend was telling me about something her boyfriend said. She just finished her first year of grad school and got back a case study yesterday and she got a 100% on it cause she worked her ass off. And her boyfriend says "Well it must have been pretty easy". Again, who the fuck says that?!

Anyway.

Do people say things like that to you or around you? Do you realize, do they realize what they've said?

Hmm. Things to ponder.

Happy saturday! Hope everyone inappropriately celebrates this day!
