Hey Portland people, this is our meetup blog. NOV 14-Underground UPDATE

Next outing: November 14, Portland Underground Tour! Come one, come all!!!

I want to get an idea of who can come, and what time on Saturday 11/14 you'd like to do the underground tour. They have tours beginning at 4, 6, and 8pm. The fact that we are going on a Friday the 13th weekend means that we will have a paranormal expert with us, lol.

Also, I should mention that tickets are $17 each. I will contact them to see if there's a group discount available, but for now, plan on that.

i just got back from a bike ride a little while ago, and the whole time i was like, "man, i wish i were doing this in portland, and then i could go home, get showered, and be like 'hey lori, let's go get dinner somewhere!'"

it's 1968 schwinn fiesta. it's awesome.

it does not have speeds tho.

oh and the movers popped both the tires, and they were the original tires :( :( :(

i need to get a bike i can ride on hills, too. i'm actually looking for one at the moment...my boss told me i could just flat out have his old one, but i haven't seen it yet.

i have been needing one for quite some time. it would be so easy just to bike into downtown. it would take 5 minutes.

depending on where my potential job is, i don't even know if i'd bother having a car. i survive perfectly well without one in philly. and i'm sure portland has some kind of car sharing service for when i need to get groceries.

and i've already checked and found out that there are like 3 Trader Joe's in portland :-p

chenguibrian and his gf didn't have a car for a long time. you can get around no prob without a car in portland.

HOWEVER

it's nice to be able to drive to hood or to the coast. but i guess that's what friends w/ cars are for.

yeah i have a subaru. it's a great mountain car, too, so we're covered for snowboardings.
