;DISMAY; To my dismay, Hear I am, Trying so hard to stay ahead, My head above water, with out a place to stand, I find myself floating in open water, And to what end I find myself alone again, To remember and forget, to live and die, As myself, like all others, Without a point, Without reason, As humans we live, and like animals we die, To one another of alien races, Put to the test of life, Pass or fail we all end up in the same god damned ground, Without a way and no lead, thrown to the curb by all the others, Few find friends they keep forever, Few find light at the end, Yet like all the rest before us learn as we must, We seldom do, So carry on we will, Dying and killing till the very end, In the name of religion, property, and trust, And to my dismay afloat in the center of a suicidal race.
Breaking Glass
Silent dreams build in your mind, While dancing into the land of unknown, Safe in a home, Untouched by pain, A child's face hardly strays from a smile, Till the day the rain starts to fall, Then the search begins for the brightest light you'll ever see, When along the way the little light you pass, You hardly see and push away, Only because you know there has to be something bigger, And while you walk along your journey, The dreams that grew shader every time you fall, Like breaking glass, You never really stop to pick up all the pieces, No, you take the ones you clearly see, And stagger back to your set pace, Until you find your forgot some pieces only to find, Someone else as stepped on the left behinds of your dreams, And fallen to where you had, The same mistakes you had made, In your footwork you stumbled, And lead another to fall, Feeling remorse and regret you then slow your pace, Only to fall again, And the story continues, Till the end of time, With no understanding of why, You continue to be the demise of those who follow you, So instead of learning why, You try to run, Only to pass more of the little light that may help you light your path, And in the darkest of your time you only then try to find, The littlest of light to help your cause, Then again you stumble a little and crash to the floor, And like breaking glass you forget a piece of your self on the floor, Only this time its only the others who realize, And to your demise you then see, In the dark the little light you let slide, Could of been the light that saved you, If only you had taken the time to realize and collect the tiny bit of light that you passed byanother
A dream worth dreaming
Believe what you hear with the ignorance of a child, Love with the open arms of a saint, Tell no lies, and break no hearts, Draw with color and paint with grays, Turn the world upside down if only for a day, To be free from care, worry or pain, A dream worth dreaming but not chasing. So how do you choose, To accept the pain or just close your eyes, Live in peace and walk blind, Or see and lead but hold dear your breaking heart? With the ignorance of a child you get used, With the open arms of a saint you get broken, With no lies your not believed, With out breaking hearts your does crack, In color you cry and in grays you submerge, If for only a day you wish you'd see clearly again, With out pain, worry or care, you feel nothing, As you chase the dreams not worth casing at all. Walk blindly and trip over your laced wrong feet, Open your eyes and walk through fire only to burn, Learn to see with closed eyes and love with closed arms, Believe disbelievingly and loudly whisper your words, Chase irrational dreams until they lead you to the ones worth having, And choose only when you know what to do. |
