So I ordered a load of shirts on monday night, and chose the UPS shipping; they arrived here, in the UK, this morning! That's, like, just over a day for a box to travel halfway(-ish) across the world- crazy!
Shame about the 40 quid customs charge, but you can't have everything! :D
This is probably something an alumnus can answer- is there a way I can buy someone a GC using my threadless credit, or do I need to buy them separately?
So, it took eleven months and a resubmission, but the mandelions finally made it. Crikey.
The moral, then, of this story is never give up. Or, possibly, the moral is to ignore threadless when they say resubmissions should be a substantial reworking of the original. Liars. I want to say thanks to everyone who supported this design, or any of my designs, during the past year; I hope you're pleased with the way this turned out- I am. This is, surprisingly perhaps, my ninth tee to be printed this year (or thirteenth, if you include collaborations...), but this is the one that feels like a real achievement, and means more than the others combined. Special thanks to opifan64 (who has given a home to the original mandelions); to igo2cairo for general awesomeness and supportiveness; gigguli and idan for their modeling skills; to maltzmania and jess4002 for always making the first comments, and always being so nice to people; to all the artists with far more originality and craziness and talent who make me want to get better; and to all the folks whose continued calls of "PRINT" may or may not have had any impact, but which certainly made me happy. The end. Possibly.
So I really wanted to get back into threadless submitting, as it's been forever since I did a new design here.
I did two quick jokey designs for the horror contest- this one: ![]() I'm happy with, and this one http://www.threadless.com/critique/31454/Oh_Dear I decided I didn't like so much, and Tonteau suggested putting it in the critiques, so I did! That fascinating tale out of the way, please crit my design. Fanks!
Sinister Dexter is being worn on BBC TV RIGHT NOW!
Yep. Nothing fancy, just a portfolio. What do I do? Like, not so much the programming bit (though I know nothing about that either) but the administrative stuff- where do I start? Assume I know nothing*
*I do know nothing Update: So I have these two designs in the woot second-chance derby, I'd be awful grateful for your votes. Thankee! ![]() ![]() ********* So, I've got this shirt that just went up at woot, if you like it and you are able to vote there, could you go and give it some love? If you can't vote, just go and say how lovely it is, and how you probably want that robot's babies. I'll make it up to you in jars of home-made jam. Cheers! (PS sorry for making a cute robot shirt. PPS sorry for then making a blog about it) |
