Thanks john- yeah, I guess it is quite wide on the tee, could always be printed smaller, or I could reduce the background a little

It's going pretty well... The character is going through a "What the hell do I do now?!" phase after losing its job because it got stuck in jail for a few days after the events of May 6th, and may be evicted soon because it couldn't pay rent.

Oh, and the story is due tomorrow.
BaronVonMonkey
BaronVonMonkey on May 04 '08 at 2:42pm
Thanks lemons!

BP: you can always have the protagonist(e) throw its non-gender-specific self in the Seine as a final futile gesture if you find you're short of an ending by six in the morning. or they could run off with the French Foreign Legion. Or the circus. Yeah, go with circus :D
blossompossum
blossompossum on May 04 '08 at 2:47pm
I was thinking more along the lines of some reminiscing a few months later, and having, "Well, at least the Beatles wrote a song about us," as the last sentence. But yeah, I like that circus bit. Maybe its new job could be that of a trapeze artist.

It used to be a baker, by the way.

And I am now obliged to e-grin: :D

Also, I remember that show (Heartbeat) from when I was living in India... I always used to get the theme song stuck in my head.
BaronVonMonkey
BaronVonMonkey on May 04 '08 at 3:01pm
Somehow that show is still going, after a looooong time. It's been stuck in the mid-sixties for about fifteen years.

Baker to trapeze artist seems a perfectly logical move; they put flour on their hands when they do trapezing, right? Also trapéziste is a good french word
blossompossum
blossompossum on May 04 '08 at 3:19pm
Still?! Oh man.

I'm quite sure they do; either flour or chalk.

You speak French, don't you?

(On a side note, wtf @ my brother calling me a Republican and a Conservative, and comparing me to Dick Cheney because I said most Bollywood films suck.)
BaronVonMonkey
BaronVonMonkey on May 04 '08 at 3:31pm
Oui, assez bien

Well, Bollywood films do generally suck. And I'm practically a commie

blossompossum on May 04 '08 at 3:37pm
Je parle un peu francais, est c'est ne pas tres bien.

Yeah, I agree with that. There are few films which are pretty good, and they're usually the ones that cut back or don't include the cheesy dance scenes.

I don't know what my political standing is, to be honest, but it'd probably lean to the left a bit.
