If the USB parts were actually color coordinated with the part of the brain they belong to- eg: the Hearing USB was green, the same color as the temporal lobe. (where hearing mechanisms are located)

That wouldn't really work out...

They did that in the original sub. I guess it's not really anatomically correct. One guy tookk particular issue with this.

That would take a lot of research, and probably wouldn't work out nearly as aesthetically.

this blog would be cooler with a good point or some humor

As some others have already said, that would not turn out to be correct.

What do you mean correct? Isn't it incorrect that USB cords are coming from a brain?

Having looked at the sub, I prefer it without the coloured cords, just don't understand the correctness of it?

It would be waaay to complicated to have this be "anatomically correct". I think if you tried to make it too accurate, it wouldn't look good, which is the point of designing. I'm glad the USBs aren't colored, I think it would have bothered me because it would be almost impossible to make it accurate that way, and then it just would have bothered me.
Alright, done ranting now :)

I am also confused by when you say it would be impossible to make it "accurate". "taste" receptors are the Facial and Glossopharyngeal nerves, mostly in the parietal lobe- (blue section) ..the olfactory (smell) nerves are found in the temporal lobe (green)

The idea that a certain lobe of the cortex is responsible for one the five senses is already a dangerous statement to be making. If anything is controlling the senses it is the Thalamus, which isn't in a lobe of the cortex anyway.
If you're talking strictly cortical locations where the sensory systems ultimately project, you still run into problems. Both the auditory and olfactory cortex are found in the temporal lobes, both the somatosensory cortex and the gustatory cortex in the parietal lobes, while the cerebellum doesn't have a cortex for any of the senses.
All I'm saying is I think it's simple and vague the way it is. I know I personally would be annoyed with it if it was made too complicated. Or maybe thats just the neuroanatomy getting the best of me.
