Safe City - Gun Buildings... Another Sub up, Coincidence ?

UPDATE:

I was surfing through the new subs last night and I saw a sub that was using the same concept that I had been working on. I was totally bummed, I know this happens but all the same I was hugely disappointed.

I'm sure there are some of you who love them, some who hate them (speaking literally as well as on a tee -shirt) however... I had this idea over the holiday and tried to illustrate it.

What are you thoughts on guns... in general and on a tee... this tee...

I do not like guns, but I like the idea and the design.

i don't know much about art but i do know this

you can't all and all say this thing(guns or whtever) NEVER looks good or is acceptable on a tee. some artists can take unbelievable elements and make them approachable, or seen in a new light.

i kinda like that design up there.

I would have to say that I really don't like them either (to have in my house etc.), I've tried to come up with something that was subtle and yet interesting... maybe a conversation starter?

I'd rather have a bunch of guns on t-shirts than in people's hands on the street so... yeah, put it on a shirt.

i'm no fan of guns. the mind is a good enough weapon for me to fall by.

also, sidenote, i think it's healthy to assume one knows very little about anything. perhaps, as a way to stay hungry and in pursuit of truth/knowledge.

mad cat, that's ashame. perhaps by closing your mind you think you are keeping yourself or someone else safe. but you're not. art is a safe haven for new ideas. stay open minded.

I have no political or ethical reasons for banning guns from shirts.

I just think usually looks a bit silly.

personally i don't score anything with guns very well at all. this design is interesting how you've done it, yet it isn't something i would wear on a tee or enjoy seeing someone else wear. sorry!

it's like hating paint brushes because you've seen horrible paintings...

they're a tool - the way they're used or the person using it is what you should direct your dislike towards.

i definitely like the design. its a nice new take on the ol' cityscape.

maybe youre trying to keep the number of colors down, but i envisioned one of the guns going off and making sort of a fireworks effect, which might be cool.

just an idea. good work!

I don't want to accuse anyone of anything but I have a sinking feeling that the critique blogs (which I've raved about) might be ground for idea lifting, intentionally or unintentionally? Any thoughts on this?
