for music, this year has been pretty strong in my opinion.

i expected a new one in spring 2008 but to hear it in october was awesome. i payed 8 dollars for it. how much did you?

the arcade fire set the year off in a good start, with their new album neon bible. this album is much different than previous releases but is a good change for sure.

now ill just list some other favorites cuz i cant write now:

-the fiery furnaces: widow city

-panda bear- person pitch

-deerhoof: friend oppurtunity

-iron and wine: the sheperd's dog

-animal collective: strawberry jam

-st. vincent: marry me (annies solo release after leaving the polyphonic spree)

-the polyphonic spree: the fragile army
(i saw them in concert in october at bogarts in clifton, ohio- amzing!)

-liars: liars

-sunset rubdown: random spirit lover

-tegan and sara: the con (did i seriously see them on MTV 0: this is bad)

-beirut: the flying club cup

-joanna newsom: y's (this isnt 2007 but late 2006 cuz its amazing)

-devendra banhart: smokey rolls down thunder mountain (not his best)

-the new pornographers: challengers (just alright)


there is DEF more but i cant think of any off the top of my head haha. if im missing any standouts leeeemmmee know.
