Funniest thing I've seen for ages
Hey dude, I'm really interested in working on that slogan of yours. It does take me forever to work on subs though as I have very limited time. If you're cool to have me send emails every now and again and working through a collab let me know.

I've got close to $1000 sitting in Paypal at the moment. I have a US dollar account with my UK based bank.
When I try and transfer the $s at Paypal to my $ bank account, Paypal converts the money to £s and stings me for close to £100. This is a problem. What I want is for the $s to transfer to my $ account without being converted to £s. Simple. I've tried emailing Paypal to tell them that the account I'm transferring money to is a $ account and therefore no conversion to £ should take place. Do they understand this? Do they feck. I've just had the 6th email from the 6th person telling me how grateful they are to help me through the 'simple' process of transferring money from Paypal to my account. I know how to transfer money to an account from Paypal, it is very simple. What they don't recognise is that the account I'm transferring money to is a $ account at a UK bank. Why is that so hard to understand? Can I really be the only man in Britain with a foreign currency account that gets paid in $s through Paypal? I'm losing my mind.
Since becoming a father a couple of years back I've noticed how my emotions well up more quickly these days. Take for instance this image below.
![]() This is a lad drawing the New York skyline from memory. He's autistic, and lives his life locked in his memory to a large degree. It's both wonderful and horrendously sad that he has the ability to create a masterwork from memory that is awe inspiring, yet on a basic level there is a huge barrier between him and everyone around him. If I'm caught off guard, like I was this morning when I saw this, it's exactly this sort of stuff that makes me cry a bit. |
