I am doing a design and i read about the 8 color rule but i dont get the gradient. If part of my design for example includes a circle in it a gradient color of Red to White - Is that considered a two color or what? I dont understand the policy of gradient colors. Thanks

imagine this... you need "films" to make shirt print.. it's one film for one color... so each colors is count even it's in one shape...

the gradient is the direction of maximum increase, and is equal to the partial derivative with respect to x * unit vector 1, partial derivative with respect to y * unit vector j, and partial derivative with respect to z * unit vector k



the gradient has many applications, one of which is optimization with a constraint and even finding the path of a heat seeking missile given the function of temperature of the region
