So yeah. Some of you know that a close friend of mine was killed in August in a motorcycle accident. He had no life insurance and his insurance company (that he had the motorcycle coverage through) has been deciding whether or not to pay a $50,000 or $100,000 accidental loss of life. The insurance company's policy states that if he was run over after the accident and the party fled the scene, it would be paid. After a lot of deliberation between the coroner and the accident reconstructionists, there is neither proof he was hit again nor proof that he WASN'T hit again.
Due to all of this, the adjuster (who is instrumental in trying to get this pushed through for my friend's wife) needs a letter of sorts, explaining what's happened since the accident. It needs to be truthful, yet emotional enough that the company decides to pay. Would someone be willing to read it and tell me what they think? It's nearly two pages long in a Word document. It's hard to remain neutral-sounding yet be so emotionally involved. :/
