heyy folks. Today, I decided that the one thing I want for the holidays is Adobe Illustrator (so I can design tees, not just create slogans). When I asked my mommy dearest, she said no because of how much dinero it costs. Well. Sucks to be me huh? Well no! I decided I would ask The threadless community for help! Sooo.. If you know a website or anyway to get the software for cheap, PLEASE
help me!!

thanks threadless bloggers.

kay peace,

um? krebz?

Yeah don't invest in Illustrator unless you know what you're doing and have a passion to do it. Inkscape is a way better decision.

if art is your passion or design I would buy it, I started doing photoshop/illustrator when I was 15 and the things I learned from doing silly tutorials I found online really helped me now that I'm in college for graphic design, I might suggest getting someone to buy it from a college for you its about 1/4 the cost or buy an older version from ebay or something, the changes they've made between are not that detrimental

I second the student discount recommendation.... and isn't there a student software version (cheaper) that is not the full version but still very good.

I have adobe CS3 design premium student edition, it's exactly the same as the non-student package, just a hell of alot cheaper.

Non-student : £1500 = $3000

Student edition : £200 = $400

Well those were the prices for the UK, I dunno if the exchange rates correspond to the prices in the USA.

The package includes: Illustrator / Photoshop / InDesign / Flash / Fireworks / Dreamweaver and soem other stuff. So it's a steal at the student price. Put it on your Xmas list!
