20 should not be an age

Now that I have been 20 for...21 minutes, I have decided that I don't like it. I'm no longer considered a teen, but I am still unable to buy alcohol, gamble in a casino, or even attend a comedy club as I recently found out. Which buy the way makes no sense, because you think if it is okay for me to go to a strip club that it would be okay to go to a comedy club, but noooo. Heaven forbid I laugh on occasion! So anyway, back to being 20, since I am still barred from being legally drunk, lucky, and all around cheered up, I can not actually consider myself a full fledged adult yet. So then what stage am I on this great path of human life. I am nothing. A post-teen if you will.

On the bright side, it's my birthday! Yeah!

Happy Birthday. 20's not so bad. In my experience, 26 is the worst year. So you're set for a while.

Woah, I'm sure the 20's are amazing. This was more of a commentary on then laws of the American government than whining about the age itself. I'm perfectly okay with getting older, and do not wish to return to teendom, I just wish that now that I'm no longer associated with the immaturity and recklessness of being a teen that I could be trusted with the responsibility of becoming a true adult who actually is capable of making the correct decisions for herself rather than having to go through a whole year of transition.
