Why would a vegetarian want this? I want this. Part of my diet is vegetarians. Thats just how much meat I need to eat.

I just bought it. :)

My personal spin on the design is that it makes a good reminder that that cleanly trimmed steak came from a dead cow.

I don't see how this is pro-vegetarian, but if vegetarians are happy with it and I am, we're all happy.
