i'll admit, i'm not too crazy about any of the candidates for next years election, however there's one man that i think out ranks all of those other jokes. unfortuantly he's getting over looked, partially because he's not trying to present himself as some "trendy" candidate, or making numerous apperances on MTV. *cough* cough* hilary/ Obahma *cough*cough*

Bill Richarson is well qualified, respectable, and realistic.

Richarson is a former member of Congress, Ambassador in the united nations, Secretary of the Department of Energy, and he was elected Governor of New Mexico in 2002.

(incase you still don't give a shit) He recently helped make POT legal (for "medical purposes") in New Mexico.

but the bottom line is (concerning his veiws on the major issues):

-Health care-
he has developed a new health care plan that will not increase taxes. Also we have the option to keep existing plans if we don't like this new one.

-Immigration-
he promises to enforce border control

-Iraq-
he promises to have all troops out by 2009, as opposed to other candidates that have said 2013. (2009 is realistic! it would be impossible to safely pull troops out of there within a few months! anyone that promises to have them out the same month that they're elected is either a liar, or a goddamn moron!)

-civil liberties-
he strongly supports

-drugs-
and did i mention he see's nothing wrong with the use of marijuana?

-teachers-
he plans to raise their wages (just as he has done in New Mexico).

Obviously, some people are going to disagree with my top choice for president, but if nothing else, please educate yourself on the politics. Remember that even though some of the promises these politicians making may sound nice, a lot of them arn't realistic. It's important that we don't have voters (young/ new) participating without the propor political knowledge.
