Does anyone else think that a lot of people get too hung up on what title you give a shirt? That some start obsessing about whether or not a design depicts the title that a shirt has been given?

Hypothesis
Do more Girls vote on submissions than purchase shirts?
Is the gender composition of voters and purchasers in the Threadless community different?

Supporting statement
Threadless has a lot of sales where products are discounted. This is done to shift stock that no one is buying. The majority of these shirts are sold out in most Girly sizes and all the small Boys sizes (i.e, worn by girls who prefer a men’s fit shirt).

Does any one agree? Do you often find yourself voting 5$ for a shirt that never gets printed?

For example: of all the submissions I have voted on, none that I have given a 5 for have ever been printed. Neither has a 4!
I have given
26 designs a 5
38 designs a 4
80 designs a 3 with 5 printed
278 designs a 2 with 5 printed
896 designs a 1 with 12 printed
162 designs a big fat ZERO

I have purchased 8 Threadless shirts since I became a member, and I love them all. I have 5 for myself; I think they were called...
Meat is Murder (my first as a gift from a friend, the shirt that started it all for me)
I'm sure I used to fit (the firemen and the pedal car)
Cyclops (3-d gasses, 1 eye)
Fly Over here (purchased in the $15 sale, nice shirt color)
Color-coded criminals (white and orange crayons from reservoir dogs)
Also:
War and peas (for a friend)
Nice Boobies (for my wife)
Viking Birds (also for my wife)
Justified and Amplified (for a friend)

What I’m wondering is… do other users, who consider themselves repeat customers (or even addicts) have similar experiences/opinions?

About me
Now, I wouldn’t say that I am overly critical, or have taste that is completely outside the Threadless genre (as illustrated by purchases) but it is fair to say that my overall score given to submissions is Low (1.32) This is because I am rating the t-shirt designs on whether I would wear them or not, not just if the artwork is good. There are a lot of great designs on the site that I would never wear, so I score them lowly accordingly.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers
