about Birds & The Bees
I have to admit, receiving my new "Birds and the Bees" shirt was kind of a disappointing experience. I now know there is a reason most graphic tees have designs printed on the top, not the bottom of the shirt-- the first being that it is decidedly less satisfying to have my crotch (yes, the new Threadless brand t-shirts are much longer in dimension than the American Apparel ones,) rather than my breasts, display a witty joke. The second, perhaps more pressing issue is that half the time, the shirt rides up so that all that can be seen through the wrinkles is half a bee proclaiming "WE DO!" like a disappointing "fold and see the new picture" page from MAD magazine. This really wouldn't be an issue, but I bought this shirt for the witty joke, and to have people on the subway stare at me and then laugh as they discovered the witty joke. Now what will they do? The joke will have to be stretched out, and shown only to parties who show an especial interest. How will I make any new friends now? By having an interesting personality? Surely not.A word to the wise, and to all future t-shirt designers-- if you want to be edgy with the placement of your design, yet still want people to actually be able to read it, put it upside-down, not on the bottom of the t-shirt.

I haven't submitted any photos. I guess I don't want free money.
