And yeah, I have, too. I rarely do it because I don't have the time, but when I do, I feel like I've achieved something...until the next day when there's 20 more pages of subs to score again.
So, did you vote all zeroes? That's what i assumed you did. I don't think i've ever voted two xeroes in a row. I've gone on a string of 20-30 or so 1's back to back to back before.
only one or two zeroes... I think I might be too kind... usually give 4s and 5s but I'll give 2s and 3s to the ones that I think are a little horrible...
Depends on the situation. If they were nearly identical and I have a good reason to think that one was copied from the other, then I'd tend to give the stolen one a 0, but since they're both ending the same day, there's not much chance that's the case.
Are you talking about the Seasoning's Greetings ones, by chance? I remember those coming up when I was scoring. I rated them both the same as I would have if they were different designs, although it was hard to rate them on creativity since they were pretty much identical.
Basically, I ended up rating them based on execution and the final product. If I remember right, they got pretty similar scores. I think one scored 1 point higher than the other.
Oh, okay, because there were 3 "Seasoning's Greetings" subs that were really similar up recently, that's why I thought of those.
Basically, when that happens, I score them on their execution and how good the final product looks and on the general creativity of the idea, if possible. I don't look at how unique the idea is since it's obviously not entirely unique, I just try to see how creatively the artist got their point across. :)
I generally try to score every day, but sometimes I let them pile up for a few days and then slog through as many as I can before throwing in the towel.
When I get overwhelmed, I try to only score the ones that I have strong feelings about, one way or the other. Otherwise, scoring can feel like a chore and not the fun experience it should be.
I'm thinking they were all from a contest, but I don't remember hearing about the contest (which isn't surprising, since I'm not in the know about a lot of things that go on here on the blog) if there was one.
There's been a couple of other times when there've been really similar subs up that weren't based on the same contest, though, so it's good to have an action plan for how to score them when that comes up. :)
