I LOVE popcorn, but the smell gets bad after a while! My old dorm roomate used to make it at least once a day! It drove me nust! Go steal some of theirs!

I make popcorn in a pot with oil in the bottom of it, the stuff in the bags smells really good, but I find it much less appealing than the real deal so I don't really want to steal theirs. Plus I don't know them and their hands are probably dirty.

Does anyone use an air-popper anymore?

every time this one lady makes popcorn here, she brings me some of it in a coffee filter. i ♥ her.

My work has one of those popcorn machines & they make popcorn every Friday for the entire Company.

They used to do it every day but stopped bc of budget cuts. My diet is greatful for the cutback !

every tuesday and thursday, i volunteer at this free clinic downtown.. and EVERY TIME, all the doctors have some chinese food [or something equally delicious-smelling] delivered and i'm just stuck salivating while doing my job

Totally! The fake "butter flavour" is not food, and does not smell like food.

Where I used to work, some cow-orkers frequently ate the stuff. Coincidentally, around the same time there was a news article about how the "butter flavour" chemicals were causing serious health problems in some of the popcorn-factory workers. I kept a copy of the article pinned up in my cubicle for everyone to see.......didn't make any converts, though.

Real popcorn (like in a movie theatre and with honest butter on it) is delicious, though!

Eating popcorn is like eating little fluffs of nothing. Unless you put salt or butter on it. Then it's fulffs of butter or salt.

but its okay to put popcorn in it, because it tastes like that already

It is the texture I like. I love the half-popped kernels left in the bottom of the bowl. Just the right amount of crunchy.

I like popcorn and have been looking for an air popper that is not insanely priced. eBay has a hello kitty one for $100, insane.

Anyway I've read that if there is a strong smell in the air, ie fish, get a dish cloth, wet it with vinegar n wave it through the air. I know that isn't practical at work, and I haven't tested it yet but I still like to know about things.

Baking soda and vinegar, 9 million uses, who knew?
