I walked past there the other day but didn't have time to stop.

I may have to swing in and see if they have anything I missed.

You need to work on your display methods, I wouldnt know where to start going on that photo.

Display method is very tricky, the place is actually a lane way and the landlord added a few doors and called it a shop. However due to Council rules NO PERMANENT FIXTURES may be installed. If you are thinking about folding them up neatly and display them on a shelf, you will know thats extra labor you will have to employ to fold the T-shirt up neatly every time someone touches them. I retail them for 29.95 and the bulk pricing I get are about $15 AUS per T-shirt +$50k Rent per year + other out goings. So its tough to pimp out the shop while starting up so I went for a more urban(cheap) design with Ikea furnitures. the only major fail part is the Ikea coat hangers they are terrible.

Its good that your doing it but not folding them up because its an extra job is a poor excuse, you'll also sell alot more tee shirts if you dont have all your stock out I dont want to spend forever looking through your collection and I buy alot of threadless tee's but the majority of your custommers arent going to know about threadless, so they need to see the products easily.

Might I suggest the folding method displayed :

@stubby43
My original idea was to do it the folding method, however my shop is very different from the Threadless shop in Chicago. They have 20 designs and lots of each design every week. My shop probably have over 100 designs but very few of each as I get the new designs and back catalogs, so the folding display method is not practical for me., but thank you very much for the advice.

@neon
awesome one of my friend was telling one of those folding methods

@stubby43
All advice is welcome and seeing the Chicago store you know if you have the cash to spend thats how its done. unfortunately I do not, however I have a dual monitor running with one facing customers and playing sideshow of the new designs.

Personally, I like having to root around in clothing. It makes it nicer when I find something I want real bad.

I walked past too. I walked with my nanny trolley full of veges and fruits. I saw the Threadless sign. I literally walked backwards and looked again. My colleague bought one from there last week. He bought the Swiss Army tank tee

Yeah, I have to admit that I walked past last week and saw the sign out the front with a threadless design on it and I almost came in and made a scene. Then I realised it said threadless on the sign so I continued on my way.

You've got Treasured and The league of cliched evil super villians (both of which I want) in a men's medium. I'm resisting the urge to buy them but I'm not sure how long I'll last.

@Neon samurai

You shouldve at least said hi when you came in :P
also I have been told there are cheap rip offs of Threadless designs selling somewhere in Melbourne. If you came into the shop you can see I Strongly promotes threadless.com

If you're interested, I saw some Threadless rip-offs at Episode (Sydney Rd) last year. Not sure what can be done about this things... I used to work for a big sportswear company and soon found out that fighting counterfeits is a costly business.

Anyway, good luck with it all! I'll be popping in sometime for sure.

You can order online from Threadless here, it just has shipping/possible customs charges.
