If you're going to New York, you could spend the whole time at Art Museums/Galleries. I don't know much about NY as I don't live there, but I did go over spring break this year.

if you want some good calamari.. go to CARMINES. it's near times square

You haven't lived until you've tried a Shake Shack burger.

I'd say try Carmines if you have enough people to share Italian "family" style. Just one person can't eat there, I'd recommend at least 4 people. But the BEST appetizer is the fried mozzerella!

If you're in Times Square and want chinese food I'd reccomend Ollie's. It's supposed to be famous or something. But unless stuff has changed they make delicious eggrolls as big around as a fist and about as long as my forearm.. just one was enough of a meal! My boyfriend & I would stop in to get them before hitting up a movie.

And if you want some local gems and are willing to cross the queensboro bridge over into Sunnyside there are two amazing places that I love (I used to live there) and they have websites now which is cool cause it's easier to link than to try to explain how to find them. :)
