funny how 364 days out of the year we were told never to take candy from strangers but on one day it becomes okay and we are sent door to door in disguise to the very same strangers we were warned about.

We were never allowed to eat anything until my parents checked it super thoroughly. And I'm pretty sure they threw out anything that was home made or not in store packaging.

my favorite part about halloween was after trick-or-treating when my siblings and i sat in the living room and sorted our candy and then traded. i was awesome at trading because my oldest sister is a picky eater, so i would give her a milky way for two snickers, and stuff like that.

I would go trick-or-treating but I have a paper to write and there is nowhere to go around here. If anything, I'll just buy a bag of assorted candies and feast on that while I type.
