most of you know by now (countless facebook groups and whatnot), but basically, Scrubs and The Office got heavily screwed over after the writers strike (from what I heard) and have had their seasons cut in half.

a lot of ppl don't know this, but seasons aren't shot inbetween seasons, too shoot each episode, they need money, and in the case of most shows on the air, they're shot one after hte other as they're broadcasted, Scrubs and The Office typically stayed 3 or 4 episodes ahead of the one that was being shown that thursday.

and hte series finale of Scrubs has been cut down to 12 episodes, what was supposed to be an original 20 episode season or something. IT SUCKS. I'm genuinly upset by this, since when I first heard it. I JUST HAD TO WRITE A BLOG ABOUT IT.

seriously, scrubs and the office is awesome, and I haven't seen em in ages (aside from the reruns), and this strike has for what it's worth, ended a lot of my favorite tv shows. :(

scrubs already finished filming it's final season, didn't it? I'm pretty annoyed by the halt, because of the impending fear of .... reality TV taking up my thursday night laughathons. Also, I'm pretty bummed by the lack of Colbert Report/DAily Showness too.

i work in the industry. and scrubs' last season, from what i heard, wasn't really affected but i could be wrong.
you think this sucks? wait until Feb when the new shows are supposed to start up and there's NOTHING NEW. or, with most bigger shows like LOST, we get a wopping HALF SEASON.

this brings me back to something else.

think of if Colbert actually got the presidency!!

seriously, just imagine the state of the union addresses.

I have this insanely awesome vivid fantasy of my mind, of having the most awesome, but official, state-of-the-union addresses if colbert was president.

but yea, until the strike, thursday was my TV day, The Office, Scrubs, My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, all on the same day, it was awesome. Occasionally I would watch ER again like I used to..

you work in the industry?

exactly, hilarity would ensue if a comedian were president.

it'd be just like that movie with Robin Williams, I can only assume, i havne't actually watched it.

You do know most shows have been cut in half, not just Office and scrubs? Like Heroes and every other network show are probably not coming back. Hell even BSG might loose 7 episodes of its 20 for its final season!

I mean, what do you do in the industry? is what I'm asking.

but yeah, Colbert actually was running for presidency a while ago, he had a lot of supporters ( think mainly over facebook tho)

well, technically, heroes hadn't started shooting volume 3 yet, but with every other show, audiovores right.

Volume three won't start until next network year(sept), there was suppose to be a second half to Volume 2 that would have started after the holidays like normal, but now we have to wait.

oh wow. that seemed like a natural finale the other week.
that doesn't really jive though. shows, as noted earlier, are shot weeks in advance and then sent to post where it could take any amount of time to finish.

sounds like they were one of hte shows staying just ahead of the curve. bummer.

Yeah it was merely coincidence that what was suppose to be a mid-season cliffhanger could work as a season ender. I had heard Tim Kring I believe say that if the strike kept going long enough they would just end the season with it, but preferred not to. I wasn't sure what they decided till I saw the episode with end of chapter two and everything.

i guess while the talk is on season endings, does anyone know exactly why Arrested Development ended so abruptly?

obviously I know that, I already said I focused on those two cause those are the two I care about the most.

I also care about family guy, and seth macfarlene has been a pretty big figure in the strike so far.

strike obviously wouldn't be a big deal if it just affected 2 shoes.

All about me
Hi, I'm Andrew, I'm a 16 dude in high school but I'm also a professional freelance graphic artist, animator, and web designer. It's an unlikely combination I've been told.. it all started out when I first found Newgrounds.com a long time ago, and just about everything on it.. fueled my desire to be an artist, I've been at it for a couple years now, and I even have a website up, its pretty sweet.

Sadly, I've never really made that much money off my art, which is odd because I've done a lot of work and I like to think that I have a decent amount of experience, but I'm not to bummed out about it, since I'm still just 16 and in high school.

Anyway... ya, hi.
