It seems like whatever I am doing in terms of submitting work is not to the threadless communities liking as well as some of the artists as well, I am beginning to think that art for me is not what I should be doing because; no matter how I depict or excute an idea it never is what the community is looking for. Threadless is not for me and what I am doing is wasting time trying to figure out the thinking of the community on this site.

Thanks for all thoses who have taking the time to comment, much success to all the artist on this site.

Peace
Afromation

Hey afro,
You know I'm a big fan of yours anyway. But just a word:
Your scores are really overall not that bad. Your work has got progressively better since you started subbing. I love the new chalk/pastel look you've got going right now. Keep at it, don't give up yet....you are doing great! You are never going to find a community where everyone likes the same stuff. Most of your work has an abundant amount of positive comments, so hang in there. Good things come to those who wait....right?

oh and one other thing...have you been pimping your self out on MySpace, flickr, etc? The added exposure just may get you more votes :D Not 100% sure if it helps all that much....but it's worth a shot.

Hold off on the pity party until your latest pastel/conte crayon/colored pencil submissions are done voting. Those are really great.

I think a lot of your others are really good too and should have got higher scores than they did. You should consider re-working a few of the higher scoring ones.

You may also want to add your designs to the critique forum or just here in the blogs to get a feel from the designers and voters before subbing it.

Don't give up.

Please understand that getting printed on Threadless is not unlike winning a lottery. With all the entries and scoring factors, even the best stuff may never make it on to a shirt. So express yourself creatively, have fun and keep at it!

Besides, the portfolio you build is a very marketable resource, not just on shirts.

Thanks Roadkill3d , Nikolina100,Daniellesgarden and canadianbeaver for your comments you are right roadkill3d I am getting caught up in in trying too hard to please or better yet figure out what sells and what does not. I think that as an artists go in general we get excited by creating something new that we feel that everyone else would feel the same.

Since joining threadless I admire everyone on here the artistic talents of the many is inspiring to say the least, the reason why I comment is to get some response I feel that when I don't get any response whether it a critique on what I can do better I don't know what direction I am heading in. If I do something wrong I do not mind being called on it what I do have an issue with is silence no feedback does not let and artist know what he/she is doing wrong.

I like your designs, specially "he is not so scary". But I agree this is a question of luck many times.

I am still new to some degree here so I need to get more involved with the community, see what threadless is truly about I am sure once I get to know the artist as well as the community my work will grow.

I believe that since my joining of threadless I have improved in some areas of my art which is why I like threadless it is pushing me to become better in my own individual style.
