I haven't made any submissions yet seeing as though I don't have the proper software, so I've been shopping around to see what software would be the most effective.

I'm trying to figure out what makes Photoshop CS3 about $300 on Amazon, because I'm not really willing to spend that much money. Photoshop Elements is a fraction of the price; will it still get the job done (threadless-wise)?

I know almost nothing about any of these programs, so naturally I would welcome a second, more experienced opinion on the proper program before I make an expensive committment. Preferably something easy to figure out, as I'm not very tech savvy!

I have elements 4... I haven't tried submitting anything, so I don't know if it will work. I have though, worked with it in the way it would be submitted... I'm kind of dumb about it though, so I don't know how to layer things, but if you find out how to do that, I'm sure it'd work, cause everything else is fine. :)

I have been using Elements since 2003 (it came with my wacom Tablet) and find it gets the job done if you just want to use Photoshop at a fraction of the price. There are minor drawbacks though, like a more limited pallette, fewer filters, fewer tweak buttons in the options, but I think the only thing I don't use anymore is the fade filter option. If you're starting out, I'd say it's a good program, though I just stuck on a problem with the threadless templates, which I'm hoping has to do with the fact my version is a dinosaur -2.0. I think they're up to 6 at the moment. Good luck and have fun!
