So....babies.

Is it because its spring and everyone is pregers or wanting to be pregers? (So...I hate that word...saying it feels funny and it sounds awful to the ear, and abbreviation of words that are shorter than four syllables is unacceptable....but typing it is amazingly satisfying in a dark twisted Im-not-actually-as-stupid-as-this-word-makes-me-seem way.)

Anyways, my point is that there seems to be a veritable crapton of kids submissions. And it gets old looking at so many sweet cute snuggly wuggly little sweetsy eetsy submissions...and also confusing some that maybe perhaps aren't actually kids submission but I cant really tell and don't really know and...ugh.

So...perhaps its time to move them off to their own critique section on the kids page (which is so disgusting cute that I can't stand it. Not feeling the whole 'have kids' vibe right now, but looking at that page makes me want to pop em out in rapid succession so I can clothe them so magnificently. REALLY! THE KID SOLDIER SHIRT! AMAAAAAAAZZZZZIIIING!

And what the hell is with all the babies being caressed by octopi? I saw at least three occurrences in my recent rating trip. In reality you would be flipping shit if your chid were being attacked by a cephalopod (how often do you get to use THAT word?)!! You would! They aren't snuggly or sweet or cuddly. They are freaking awesome, but I don't think they are child material....

But everything is so darn cute I can't even be that rageful about it.....ppfftt.

Lions and tigers and....no no, juts tigers. Lots of them. Done in different styles (smoke, spray paint, etc.) but all just that. Tigers.

Why? Is there something important about tigers that I'm missing? Do people really think that simply putting their favorite large feline through some photoshop filters a t shirt makes?

Is this an attempt to promote awareness of the extinction of tigers?

Whats the point!? If submitters are going to keep slapping tiger faces on shirts, I feel like they need to justify WHY. For the love all large fuzzy kitties, WHY!? WHY WHY WHY!?

Really. Do we have to?

We're all big kids. We can handle a little verbal beat down...right?

Wouldn't it be NICE to post a link to a stock brush/vector/clip art that a submitter is using in their work, to NICELY notify voters that the submitter is not submitting original work?

What if it was just the link. Is it NICE enough to post just the link to the original work without any other (potentially not nice) commentary?

And if criticism is phrased in a sweet and cuddly manner, does that make it NICE to blatantly point out everything I don't like about a submission?

I'm a little sick of being nice...

I got sick of my account page bitching at me that I had nothing posted and hadn't blogged...so I've decided to bitch about my scoring experiences to vent and finally make some use of this thing.

I just gotta get it out of my system.

Threadless loves product (RED) is killing me. I was just scoring and I have a few beefs:

1. WHATS WITH ALL THE DAMN BUTTERFLIES?! Gaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. And a lot of Monarchs. RULE NUMBER 1: DO YOUR RESEARCH! Monarch buttferlies do not inhabit the continent of Africa. Its about the only one they don't live on. The closest they get are the Canary Islands, which are off the African coast, but are technically Europe. I feel like a native species wouldn't be hard to figure out. Really? Seriously. Not hard.

2. RULE NUMBER TWO: DO YOUR RESEARCH! You should know exactly what it is that product (RED) does. Lots of people keep talking about the money donations, etc. Product (RED) does not donate money. They use the money you give them to purchase medical aid to fight AIDS. They send actual physical help, instead of money that could get lost in the system. I have yet to see any reference to that.

3. RULE NUMBER THREE: CREATIVITY! Lose the damn stock photoshop brushes that you downloaded off of the internet. You are wasting everyone's time. Stop using a grunge filter to make it look just like all of product (RED)'s other shirts. If I see any more f*#@ing vector splatters I might kick you. That goes for all your submissions. *WEEPS BITTER TEARS*

The only one I have even remotely liked so far (which still needed some work) was Change by mocking bird (http://www.threadless.com/submission/305456/Change).

Anyone else got any ideas?
