ok so i've been itching to buy a shirt. usually once i'm done with my own designing i start shopping for shirts, problem is, all the ones i want are sold out.

threadless isn't going to print a shirt just for little old me, so i need other people to go vote 'reprint' for these. of course it'll help if you're a medium size wearin' guy, but whatever, any support for the designs is good.

i'll probably bump this from time to time, i don't see any other way to campaign for these shirts. thanks...

Mic Chuck is a lost cause, cause Threadless has stated they won't be re-printing Select tees ever. EVER. and they can't go back on that policy now, or risk the entirety of Threadless to be most pleased with them for making a shirt many people would like to have available again. I mean, where would the trust go?

i did not know that...i wonder what the reasoning is behind not reprinting select shirts? honestly, i didn't even notice it was a select, i was just cherry-picking my favorites.

do they reprint shirts when some sizes are still in stock?
spiderflux
spiderflux on Nov 09 '07 at 3:14am
yeah i'd think so. i mean, when they have you vote for a reprint they offer you a choice of sizes, to me that indicates that (re)print runs are done by individual size, when mediums are out they reprint a batch of mediums if they get enough votes...maybe?

at least i hope it works that way. yours is a good question and hopefully someone who knows for sure how it all works will see it and answer.

Spider, their reason for this was to be "well, that's another reason why we call them selects, for a selective audience using select inks and shirt material for a limited selective time of purchase." Maybe there's more to the reasoning, but that's what i have seen as the explanation for this trend, which sucks, cause i want a XXL of The motive oh so badly that shall never come iunless i feel like paying triple the price for it on Ebay.

Trindli, yes they sometimes reprint shirts when a few are still in stock. The last big examples of this was Funkalicious, which was still available in a few sizes and in kids sizes and was still re-printed.

No spider, they don't just re-print certain sizes, but will reprint in each size if the shirt is deemed worthy enough to be printed again.

that's cool, as long as they don't wait until the shirt's sold out in all available sizes before doing a reprint i'm happy. thanks for clearing that up.

I actually don't wear The Descent as much as I thought I would. The print of the little fellas faded right after the first wash, and now it's a bit... dull.

orwell : thanks!

krakaboom : thanks for the info, i was just reading another blog about problems with fading inks on select shirts, i hope this isn't a widespread problem on threadless...i've yet to buy a shirt here so i have no firsthand knowledge about the print quality.

adam antium : sure thing, you do good work. and i really do want that shirt, it's one of my favorites.

ojimo : it's a well-done design for sure, i can't wear brown though, it makes me turn green.

And hey, Threadless decided to sin against their own rules and arrest itself, but still got an old select reprinted! So maybe your mic chuck one two wishes will be granted!

that would be awesome, i think it's a fantastic design...i figure it's easier to keep my original listing than to try and follow the changing policy. i mean, it's cool that threadless is willing to make those changes and that protocol isn't carved in stone, but i don't always know where to access that information.

My designs

All about me

i was grown in a vat in a secret underground laboratory off the coast of the aleutian islands. my favorite word is antediluvian. i even know what it means. i like the idea of grim jocularity, if not the reality. i invented the portable sumo wrestler. i once went through a cellar door to get an amish terrarium. i can't draw. but i still do.
