Got 10! Want 20!

Always had the magic number of 10 prints as a goal. But now I've got 10 prints, of course I want to have 20.

So, listen to aunt Gumbo: You'll never be satisfied with the amount of threadless prints you have. EVER!

Because, when you got one, you need 2, and when you got2, you'll want 3. In the end you'll want all 10. That's how it works. dschwen can confirm.

Fo' serious gumbo, every time you get printed, it's like, "okay, I gotta start from scratch and get another one now!" The way you can tell when a first-timer gets printed or someone is getting a bunch of prints at once, is the point where they start submitting twice as much work as they usually do to Threadless, lol.

I have a per-year goal now, I'd like to get 4 a year to consider it a good year. Last year was only 2, and this year it's one (maaaaaybe another on the way :) The number is tougher to hit because of the lack of type tees nowadays.

Best of luck on your goal, I have NO doubt you will be reaching it a lot faster than it took you to ten, congrats Esta!

I don't know about the subbing twice as much, evan!

If anything, I've started subbing less and less, due to having more freelance design work and less spare time, but also being a lot more critical about what work to sub.
I may well fade away from here and not reach twenty at all!

yeah, your sub to print ratio is amazing.. It's like whenever you do decide to sub something it's almost sure it'll be printed. Not a difficult feat for you to have 20 I bet :)

Great blog, but have a thought for the poor souls who don't even have one! :)

I'm sure you could easily get 20, in no time, if you subbed one every week. Probably, in about 6 months!

Ok, A thought for the poor souls who don't have one:

Nothing beats the first print. For real. The 1st print will taste 10 times as good as the 10th.
Put that champagne in the cooler for the first print. Because, for the 10th, you won't even open a bottle of lemonade.

I subbed a lot before my print and after and if I'm really really lucky maybe I'll get another one, maybe after my next 200 designs!;)
