The type treatment is very nice for both, but neither is great as far as what they are saying.

Of the two I think "Rock Harder" has the most potential, cause it's fun and you can push it further then the other one.

lovely stuff, Esta - as usual. love the rock harder one but maybe could do with some extra colouring or something else that you designers do

Rock harder has potential - I love the font but it does need something else to embellish it. Eg. texture, colouring, detail, pattern.

I like the 2nd. You are so clever. I would love to see you do something that combines the text with imagery. . . like your tea time shirt.

I'm gonna be different and say I like Mild at Heart more. It's such a clever slogan. Maybe add a lace pattern, like a doily. Or a cup of tea, the swirls kind of look like steam. I'd 5$ that!

I'm a bit hesistant to add illustrative elements.
I think it's a bit of a cop out, but yes, voters will probably digest it easier with some illustrative bits.

Because my personal aim is (in this case) to make the type interesting by it's own merit.
Because, (to me) that is the true challenge of this contest.

rock harder is nice
Maybe use two kind of materials ( the texture of the text illustrating two types of rocks )
I hope you can understand that ^

both are good with that goal then. both with be of interest to different types, IMO. That is true of illustrations, but even more true of words. Words are so specific...again...imo. I like Rock Harder for the text.

Love both. Am i missing something with "Rock Harder"? Only see two words and thought it was a three word competition..? I'm probably just missing the whole point

I really like Mild at Heart, I'm wondering if you could make it into more of a tattoo style design. I know you wanted to avoid illustrations, but if you did, maybe a lamb in there somewhere might add something to it?

yeah, the Rock hHarder is in the 'nice but no cigar' area right now. Not quite there yet.
Perhaps the type is better suited to a different slogan, and the Rock harder slogan needs an enitirely different type approach alltogether.

I like both, the first one Ihave no idea what else to do, but looks nice still.

The rock harder one, Maybe work the fingers a little more so they are more expresive maybe outlining the thumb or something. And you could add a spike bracelet to the rock hands.

I get more of a country western vibe on the second one. The type doesn't match up with the words.
