about Wizard Rock
Wow! An amazing thing just happened. OK, whenever new tees come out, I'm faithful to check the site every Monday. I add the ones I want to my cart and just kind of wait until I'm ready to buy them. So that's what I was doing. I go to check my cart and in bright green my screen tells me: "You have the current Thriftee in your cart!" I was like, "Wha?!?!" And sure enough, it was Wizard Rock, an EXPENSIVE shirt...in my cart...in my size...for $10. So of course i got it! And right after I was complaining about the new higher prices! Threadless is watching me! O_O
Ack! What's happening? I check out the new tees today and what do I see but higher prices!?!?!?!?!
I mean, it's great that Threadless is becoming more and more successful; they deserve it. But now they make their own shirts and apparently they cost more, and they're passing the non-savings on to us. But come on! AA tees are great and consistent. And I already pay more for less fabric because I'm a girl! So, in short, I'm not happy with these changes. Paying more is not fun!
I got a $50 Threadless gift certificate for Christmas!
Woohoo!
So, I'm talking to my fiance the other day, telling him about the new t-shirts I bought, and he was like, "You probably have enough shirts to go a whole year and not wear the same one twice."
And you know...I just might. Starting Jan. 1, I'll wear a different shirt everyday for the 366 days of 2008. If I have fewer than that, then I guess we'll know how many shirts I really have (of course, I'll most likely be buying more shirts along the way). If I have more, whatever I haven't worn in the year might get donated or given away to anyone interested. I could think of some more rules for this, but I think I'm just going wing it. On days I have to wear a uniform, I'll try to either wear a shirt under it or wear a different shirt at some other point during the day. Also, I'll make a new photo album on my MySpace page and post a pic of my shirts for each day. I'll post pics here too. I may not get around to posting everyday, but I'll be sure to post any missed days at some point. This should be interesting! |
Hi! I'm Joni and that's pronounced like Johnnie. I'm a college student double-majoring in Piano and Software Design, go figure! My favorite things are stars, Star Wars, disco balls, video games, cats, and the color silver. ;D
