While pickles are very tasty from time to time, especially in subs, I think I may just possibly be in one.

I just recently submitted a design to be critiqued (http://www.threadless.com/critique/49735/When_the_Light_Bugs_Come_Out_to_Play) all was well, people were giving me their thoughts, helping me out....you know, the reason why its up there.
BUT THEN 'firemaplegirl' wrote "Yup, a ham. It was the one at the end of the blue bugs tail. What can I say, I skipped lunch! Also, I'm counting waaaaay more than 8 colors in the design. Are some of them halftones?"
Ok, she thought one of my flowers looked like a ham, which I thought was rather funny, and well that's not the point of this post. The point is that I have way more than 8 colours in my design, and while I could minimize the amount of colours used I really rather not.
I thought of that problem before and just figured that simulated process could be used to print it. I shrugged off #8, and now its come back to haunt me.
I have no idea if my simulated process hopes can come true, which brings me to my final- point of this blog- question:

Can it be printed with Simulated Process, or must I minimize the amount of colour used in my design?

do not worry about the number of colors... there are several ways around the '8-color limit'.

I know you can use half tones - they appear as little dots and will give you the same visual effect of a colour you've already used at a fraction of the strength.

What are the "other" ways around it?

Hey Stephanie - I saw your critiqueWhen the Light Bugs Come Out to Play and I thought you might be interested in a study I'm doing:

Posted a critique? Does feedback improve designs?

Just to provide a brief explanation. I'm trying to see how feedback influences the development of ideas (in this case design). So, when you sign up, I'll send you a brief personality survey and then I'll gather your critique data and see how it all works together via the magic of statistics. Everyone that signs up will get a free personality profile and be entered in a raffle to win an iPod.
