So I finally persuaded my significant other to let me get another kitty! After searching Petfinder, I found one that I want to go meet. Here's a pic of her:
http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=10773230 Sorry, but my link thing is being retarded. Anyway, I'll update this blog when I get more info. I'm going to call about her tomorrow. :-)
So I was looking on Youtube for clips from old Commodore 64 games, and it brought back a lot of fond memories. It also brought some scary ones...
I used to be so scared of this game when I was little. My dad used to play it when I was around just to freak me out. Anyway, if you can find them, post your favorite old games. I'd like to see what people come up with. :-)
I'm back after a short hiatus (if anyone cared). I've just been busy with a lot of shit and haven't blogged for a while, so I just wanted to say hello. :-)

Blatant rip-off!
Ok, since I started a post about where people live, I think this might be fun. I love reading Wikipedia stats on different cities. Post the Wiki for where you live.

Or am I the only one?
So, I just got back from visiting my dad in Florida for a week. The weather was fantastic, no rain with temperatures in the 70s the whole time we were there. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if my grandma wasn't there. She's been there for a month, and is staying until my dad gets better. I thought that with all that's been going on with my dad that she would be a little more civil towards me, but that wasn't the case. She has the annoying habit of trying to instigate fights with me over stupid shit, but I've learned to just keep my mouth shut. She's never liked me very much, plus she doesn't seem to grasp sarcasm very well. Anyway, when my grandparents picked us up from the airport, I asked them if we could stop and get something to eat because we were famished. They agreed, but then passed 5 different food joints. My grandma asked what I was in the mood to eat, and I had told her that I didn't care. So we passed a Waffle House, to which she said, "Oh, there's a Waffle House...but we don't want that." What the hell? All she was going to get was coffee...and decaf at that. She did this with about 4 other places until she decided that Perkins was a good choice. After we ate, my grandparents managed to get us lost for a good half an hour. Finally we got to my dad's, went to bed, and got up in the morning to go visit my dad in the hospital. When we got there, I noticed a blood drive in the lobby. A little later I ate lunch and decided to donate blood, which I had never done before. I managed to fill up one half pint bag before I passed out. :-) I started to feel a little numbness in my feet, which crept up my body. Then I started feeling a little lightheaded, so I put my head in my hand. The blood lady asked if I was OK, and I just looked up at her and blacked out. My fiance saw the whole thing and said that I had started convulsing and that my eyes rolled back in my head. Pretty crazy shit. Anyway, after visiting my dad in the hospital for quite a few days, they discharged him Thursday, so I got to spend some time at home with him, which was nice. He's already planning for us to come back in March of next year. He's doing well, but he has a long road ahead of him. He lost 35 lbs., and needs to get his strength back for his next surgery next month. All in all, a pretty good trip. :-)
You sexy old lady you!
I found out a bit of bad news...my dad has cancer in his small intestine. He has Crohn's disease, and has been having stomach pain since September. He thought it was just from his Crohn's, but the pain started getting worse, to the point that he decided to go to the hospital. When he got there, they checked him out, and saw that he had a blockage. They did surgery and removed part of his small intestine and part of his colon. When they examined the part that they removed, they found the cancer. They still have to do more tests to see what stage he's in, and if it has spread. Well, only a couple of days after his operation, they had him eating solid food (which I thought was way too soon). Sure enough, the next day he was in a lot of pain again. They had to open him back up to fix a stitch that came loose from when they reattached the two ends of his intestine. Now he's in intensive care...they say that the surgery was much more than they had anticipated. He has to wear a urine bag for a few months. He wouldn't even be in that IC unit if they hadn't fucked up in the first place. :-( The worst thing is that he's in Florida, and I'm in Ohio, with no way to talk to him until they move him out of IC, which might not be for a couple of days. I'm supposed to go down and see him in about 3 weeks (we had this planned months ago). Two of my aunts flew down there yesterday morning to go see him. My grandma told me that they have him very heavily sedated, and when my aunts talked to him and asked him how everything was going, all he could say was, "Who's going to pick Jackie up from the airport when she comes here?". I'm just glad to know that I'm in this thoughts and his heart, because I know that he's in mine. Sorry for the long and sad blog, but I just had to get this shit off my chest. All I want for Christmas now is for my dad to feel
better. I've been sleeping like shit for the past few days, and I'm really starting to feel it...every time I lay down to go to sleep though, I keep thinking about this shit, and then I can't stop crying. I just wish I could give hi a big hug right now.
I STPed you...hope it goes through. :-P
