New kitty!

So I finally persuaded my significant other to let me get another kitty! After searching Petfinder, I found one that I want to go meet. Here's a pic of her:

we got 2 cats .. it is nice cause they keep each 0ther company and all.

I don't think I would want more than 2 however... but cats are good buds they usually keep me company while I work on my computer like so..

Yeah, I knew someone that had 16 cats. It was amazing because her house didn't smell like cat at all. She took really good care of all of them, and if you didn't know, you would have never guessed that many cats lived there. I think 2 or 3 is enough for me though. I could never imagine having that many cats.

So, we adopted our new kitty today, and we're bringing her home on Friday. We named her Sterling...here's some pics:

Yeah, we had gone in to see the cat in the 1st pic in this blog, but we ended up falling for Sterling instead.

So Sterling came home with us Friday. We're keeping her in our bedroom until she gets used to her new surroundings. The first day, she was really nervous and mostly just hid under the bed, but when it was time to go to bed, she crawled out and slept with us. Our other cat, The Professor, really likes her, but she isn't too fond of him. She hissed at him twice, and he just gave me a look like, "What did I do wrong?" I really hope she comes around.

Well, they're starting to get along a little better. It's still going to take a lot of work, but she isn't hissing as much as she was, and she seems to be a lot less skittish. So far so good! :-)
