I was reading a little about this series, and was curious to maybe get some of it. Does anybody have any opinions on it? Is it good/bad? I used to read tons of Wolverine, but as with everything else i just kind of stopped at some point for whatever reason, and now it's hard to know where to start back up again at.

I think the series sounds pretty interesting though. And i like it when they "reimagine" established characters' back stories, so i bet i'd like it. As long as they don't mess things up with him too bad that is :p

I read Origins back when it first came out, I thought it was pretty cool. It was interesting to see after so many years of reading comics, how they decided to "define" Wolverine. The art was cool too, because it is different than most comics, no ink if I remember correctly.

I have the first Volume, but it was probably about four years ago that i read it by now. The art was really awesome too, you're right. I think i'm going to try to pick up the next volume this weekend or something.

I've heard some pretty good things about it. I never was very into Wolverine though.

dude, i have sooooo many old marvel cards from between 1986 and 1997. I wanna wait a few more years and take them in somewhere to get appraised.

I also have like 300 superman comics including a 1992 reprint of the original action comics from 1936.

I use to love all that shit. im glad i still have it all

yeah, i've been getting back into a lot of comics lately... i was on hiatus for a few years. I have too many hobbies!

I wonder where all of my old marvel cards are? Probably buried in my parents' basement :p

I used to collect in the 80's, the only "origin" comics I own of Wolverine is Hulk #181 (yes!), and Frank Miller's Wolverine series...and of course the X-Men comics from around the John Byrne up to Jim Lee years. I do remember that he used to be an agent alongside Sabertooth in the Weapon X program. No idea what alternate stories exist these days on him.

far too many i think! yeah, i have a good deal of much older Wolverine/X-Men comics, but it's hard to figure out where to start with the newer stuff. Besides just "volume 1" of course.

I was thinking about picking up Wolverine Origins TPBs.

There's a 3 part series coming out called Logan, the artwork looks sweet.

I've read the first 10 issues or so, its pretty good, which is saying something for 616. Logan looks damn awesome tho.

And of you haven't read it, Wolverine: Origin is an awesome ~5 issue mini about when he got his powers and where he was born and raised.

Yeah, I had this 25% off coupon for Borders and it was either Origins, Spiderman: the Other, or Y: the last man volume 3.

I already have Spiderman: the Other, but I loaned it to someone and they never gave it back...

I decided to get Y, becuase I already have like 34099340349 titles that I'm just beginning, I don't think I should start reading any new ones yet.

I thought Wolverine: Origins included his Birth and stuff....

They're two different titles?

Yeah, Origins is an ongoing title up to almost twenty now, and about him sorting stuff out after getting his memory back after House of M.

Oh, I was going to pick up Origins: Volume 1 thinking it was the other thing.

The "Origins" vs. "Origin" thing confused me at first too :p

I got Spider-Man: Blue the other day so i'm probably going to read that next. I just finished DC's "Justice" last night, it was sooo good!

I looked at some of "Origins" at the store today, and i think that i'm going to buy "House of M" first, since it's kind of a lead in to it. I will probably order it in a couple of days, we get our tax return back this week!!!

House of M was ok. As an event it was abysmal. Poorly edited and dumb.

When I started reading 616 I started with New X-Men(after like then Avengers Disassembled, before House of M. I've read most of Civil War, but got lazy toward the end. I want to go back and read Devastation, which is the HoM fallout, and finish Civil War so I can read World War Hulk, which looks awesome, and Planet Hulk was bad ass. I was goin to read the Spider-Man crap, Back in Black, and One More Day, but now that I know he was just retconned at the end there's not much motivation to. I also want to read the other post CW X-Men events of Extinction and Messiah Complex.

I thought that House of M at least looked like it was collected well, where as Civil War looks like it's much more random and the stories are kind of strewn about. I've been wanting to read Civil War, but there are too many different volumes of it... so i need to do a little more research on it first.

I wish there wasn't so many different stories that looked interesting, or stuff that you feel like you "have" to read before you can read something else.

Today I ordered House of M, Marvel Knights Spider-Man, and Superman: Birthright. I'm ordering a bunch more later in the week when our tax return gets here :p
