The design's cool, but definitely NOT accurate. A kangaroo is NOT faster than a greyhound, & that's not the only inaccuracy. For any inquiring minds out there, here are some stats from WikiAnswers.com:
--Cheetahs are the fastest land animal with a top speed of 70 mph (but you knew that!)
--Gazelle averages 35 mph up to 50 mph
--Horse: Secretariat holds the world record of 37.5 mph
--Ostriches can run 45 mph in short bursts
--Kangaroos have a top speed of 44 mph
--GREYHOUNDS ARE FAST! They reach full speed in 3 strides. They are the 2nd fastest land animal. The record (are you ready for this?) 84 mph (wind assisted). This crazy record was set in Australia on 3/3/04 by a greyhound named "Cheetah."
--Bunnies can hop up to 25 mph
--Brown bears can run up to 40 mph
--Humans: Sprinter Maurice Greene ran 26.7 mph
--Turkeys: wild turkeys can run 20-25 mph, but a domestic turkey with enhanced breasts can only waddle (just something to consider!) (c;
Come on dood, thats sloppy.
Where is the quality control?
Doesnt anyone at threadless check the shirts for accuracy?
I'm your man if that becomes a position.
Ivan, I'm pretty sure more than one threadless employee is involved in the shirt design selection/production process. And of course mistakes will happen. But this is a pretty obvious one. All it takes is for one bystander to notice the mistake. Then all of a sudden you turn from Joe Cool Guy with the sweet threadless shirt to Poser Jackass with the shirt that doesn't even make sense. All I'm saying is the consumer should be protected from this kind of embarrassment. When found, errors should be fixed. There are no rules that say you can't recall a product. Take the hit. Live and learn. But maybe hire someone whose sole job is to make sure this kind of stuff never happens in the first place.
[+duracell-] Yeah I get what you're saying. It just seems a little extreme, IMO, to have a shirt recalled. I'm also pretty sure Montro found that info somewhere and believed it was accurate.
